Thomas Wilkins MD

Thomas Wilkins, MD has been

providing expert care in Neuro-musculoskeletal medicine for over 22 years. Prior to assuming medical directorship at Erie Spine and Pain Center in January 2022, he provided cutting edge care at a multi-specialty clinic in Green Bay, WI for 17 years. Known for bringing emerging technology into practice, he was the first physician in the region to introduce Musculoskeletal Ultrasound into practice back in 2008 and was awarded the Pioneer RMSK board certificate for passing the inaugural ultrasound board examination in 2012.

Dr. Wilkins' has set a new standard for local Pain Management. He has changed the focus from a general approach to a patient centered, diagnosis specific approach that focuses on individual patient needs. This not only acts to reduce pain, but additionally focuses on both improvement in function and quality of life.

He specializes in fluoroscopically guided spinal injections for stenosis, sciatic distribution pain, degenerative spine disorders, and chronic spine pain after surgery. He offers a wide range of epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation procedures, spinal stimulator trials, SI joint injections, amongst many other interventional options.

Dr. Wilkins additionally trials and manages intrathecally delivered drug therapy through the management of Medtronic intrathecal pumps.

Dr. Wilkins enjoys spending time with his family and traveling when not seeing and helping his patients in clinic.

Kishan V. Patel, DO

Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Patel is a board-trained physiatrist specializing in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health, and pursued advanced fellowship training in Spine Medicine at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Patel is dedicated to helping patients improve function, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. He believes in partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans and empowering them through education so they can make informed decisions about their care. His approach emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered medicine, utilizing the least invasive treatment options whenever appropriate while offering more advanced interventions when needed.

His clinical expertise includes fluoroscopic (X-ray) guided spine procedures for neck and back pain, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation. He commonly treats conditions such as sciatica, spinal stenosis, disc herniations, degenerative arthritis of the spine, and a variety of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. In addition to spine procedures, Dr. Patel offers ultrasound-guided injections, electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS), and medical acupuncture to provide patients with a broad range of diagnostic and treatment options.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Patel is passionate about medical education and mentorship. He values opportunities to teach and guide trainees, while remaining actively engaged in advancing the field through attendance and presentations at regional and national conferences. He maintains active membership in leading professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society. His commitment to lifelong learning ensures that his patients benefit from the latest evidence-based treatments and innovations in spine and musculoskeletal medicine.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Patel enjoys watching and playing sports, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with family and friends.
